Today on Pinstripe Alley - 10/11/24

Good morning. The Yankees are heading to the American League Championship Series! They beat the Royals 3-1 last night. This win secured a four-game ALDS victory. That’s a big win.

The Yankees now get a few days off. They’ll wait for the winner of the Tigers/Guardians series, which ends tomorrow.

Today, Sam will share about the other ALDS Game 4 in Detroit. David will pick the Player of the Game for ALDS Game 4. Estevão will write about the Yankees’ trend in Game 4.

Nick Sarnelli will choose the ALDS MVP. Later, John will look back at the 1999 ALCS. This was the first time the Yankees and Red Sox met in the postseason. Smith will also name the Minor League Player of the Year. Madison will answer your mailbag questions too.

The other ALDS Game 5 is tomorrow. But tonight, we have NLDS Game 5! The Mets are waiting to see their NLCS opponent. The series starts on Sunday. Tonight, it’s Padres vs. Dodgers at Chavez Ravine.

NLDS Game 5 Schedule:

Los Angeles Dodgers vs. San Diego Padres
(Series tied, 2-2)

(RHP Yoshinobu Yamamoto vs. RHP Yu Darvish)
Time: 8:08 p.m. ET
TV: Fox
Venue: Dodger Stadium, Los Angeles, CA

Questions/Prompts:

1. The Yankees haven’t officially announce Carlos Rodón as the ALCS Game 1 starter. Would you still go with him or would you bump up Clarke Schmidt/Luis Gil? (Cole’s normal rest would put him in Game 2.)

2. Who ya got in Dodgers vs. Dads?
